What if time passed differently in different places?

How do people synchronize their schedules – or do different settlements live in their own little bubble, like “fairy realms” to each other? Do places with quicker time flow have an economical advantage due to “faster” production, at the cost of “shorter” lives? What happens if someone moves away from their home?

What if there weren’t (only) werewolves but a whole assortment of different were-animals?

How are they different from their real-animal counterparts? Are all their transformations connected to the moon cycle, or are there other triggers per species? Are they dangerous to regular humans, or just creepy-cute? How do others view their transformations/animal forms – do they know who it is? Do their transformations influence their human lives? Are they at risk from predators, or from human enemies, when transformed? How do they protect themselves? How do they protect others from themselves?

Cough.

What if rivers consisted of gas, rather than liquid?

Is it a visible gas? Is it heavier than air, or do rivers flow through the sky? How do they hold together if so? Are they used for human transport? Do animals live in them? Get that imagination flowing! (Sorry not sorry for the pun.)
